The Erasmus Rules (‘cause it rulez!)

1. ADJUST YOURSELF TO THE PLACE.

Take a couple of days (sometimes an hour is enough!) to understand how things work and keep up with everybody! Be open to new people and think positive!

2.PARTY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN(what a surprise)

This is where I realized that people can be very inventive when it comes to partying! (Latin party,Lollipop party,Pirate party,Venetian night party and the list never stops..!)

3.SLEEP? NOT IN MY VOCABULARY.

Sorry,this term could not be found in my head nor in the previous 3 days…maybe 4…ok a week.

4.CEASE THE MOMENT!

Not only the day! Grab (almost) every opportunity given to you, it´s once in a lifetime, enjoy!

5.TRAVEL TILL YOU DROP!

Here,there,everywhere must be your moto,if you want to be a respectable erasmus student!

6.RESPECT THE COUNTRY.

Come on,we all know that as an erasmus student you have privileges,but please,don´t get drunk and yell on the street at 4.00 a.m. Czech people usually don´t appreciate that.

7.GET READY FOR THE CULTURE SHOCK!

Sorry,it is inevitable. It can happen to you at the restaurant,on the street,in the tram,in the library (yes you are supposed to visit it!) at the post office…just everywhere! Because people are different!

8.SAY YOUR APOLOGIES TO YOUR LIVER.

Or you can try not to drink too much pivo (beer in check),because you know, being drunk can cause a very serious loss of memory…or worse,loss of memory.

9.WATCH YOUR MOUTH!

If you are coming from a country which language is not so wide spread,DO NOT make the fatal mistake to speak freely your mother tongue thinking that you are the only person from your country in area of 10.000 m2!Murphy says that there will actually be somebody that speaks your mother tongue close enough to hear you cursing (or anything else…).

(they are always ten,right?)

Chat,exchange experiences,have fun with them!Because friendship is better than any other ship!!!
